This is another amazing bathroom remodeling job we completed few weeks ago. I haven’t had too much time to write, but this weekend was very relaxing and I wanted to sit down and write a post about it. We completed this bathroom renovation earlier this spring in Great Falls, VA.
This bathroom is a good example of excellent, space and light optimization. What we started with was an 1980’s simple bathroom design without too much thought put into it.
The corner tub wasn’t a hot tub, but just an over-sized soaking tub which has almost never been used. It was a big money waster, water waster and waste of space. The bathtub had no use and functionality to It and had to go! There were many options here with a claw tub being the most appealing and useful choice for the homeowners.
The shower was tiny and had no natural light to it. The shower door frame was standing 5 feet tall making it almost impossible not to hit your head on your way in or out of the shower. To top it all off, someone decided to hide the toilet behind a silly partition wall which was going all the way up to the ceiling and breaking down the space even more. Something had to be done…
What we did was: We took some measurements, then we spoke with the homeowners to figure out what their ideas were. The conclusion was a bigger shower, open space, more light, more glass, less walls, natural stone and beautiful fixtures. The job was carefully planned and after few weeks of hard work you can see the result – another amazing bathroom remodeling job by SmartHouseRemodeling.
